The VSA is administered by an elected Committee of Management, the members of which are subject to an annual review.

In 2011 a more concise and user friendly statement of strategic objectives and mission was adopted. In summary this directs the Victorian Soaring Association to: “Work with its member organisations to provide a safe environment for all people to experience the thrill of gliding and achieve lifelong enjoyment from the sport. We are about fostering strong clubs, encouraging enthusiastic participation and robust safety systems.”
