Rhonda Gelletly (GCV)

Rhonda started working for the GCLT gelletlyV in the 1990s and although she had very large shoes to fill she still took to the job like a duck to water. She has donated countless hours for the benefit of club members. Rhonda operates with the attitude that she is there to serve and help every single GCV member.  Rhonda is the face of our club and she truly demonstrates, lives and breathes the GCV values, quite amazing, considering she doesn’t even fly.

Throughout the entire Benalla Community, Rhonda can be found volunteering or offering assistance through a number of different programs: CFA, Tomorrow Today Foundation or organizing glider flights for disadvantaged community member.

During the recent 2017 World Gliding Championships Rhonda donated 2 weeks of her time (via annual leave) to work in the GCV Office, general administration, serving behind the GCV Bar and liaising with the local emergency services.

In the last few years Rhonda has demonstrated great care and compassion surrounding some very unfortunate events involving fatal accidents/incidents. Rhonda was able to use her CFA contacts to organize counselling sessions for all of our instructors, members and volunteers after these traumatic events.Rhonda really is an enormous wealth of knowledge and she is invaluable to the club.
